When I was young, I had wings. Big beautiful wings, I had imagination. And my imagination sprinkled like fairy dust off of my wings. But around my parents and other people I had to hide all my beauty. With wings as big as mine, it wasn’t hard for them to see through. And as I got older I learned more and more truth, my wings color became duller. My wings weaker. And in my time alone I would go into my own world and fly away. But that world started to fade away. My wings couldn’t lift me from the ground anymore. And one day my parents had told me to grow and stop living in a dream world, that I’d never be good enough to do the things I had imagined, and with the final clip of the scissor, my wings fell to the ground. And I lay there crying.

I lived so many years depressed. Never forgetting my dream world. Everyone around me as well had no wings. They all seemed unhappy as well. I could sense all their sadness and fakes smiles. Their wings had been ripped off of them as well. We all had that in common. But I had a crazy idea come to me. If only we had all coexisted and lived through our dreams together, maybe we could all gain our wings back. Many people thought I was crazy. But I was older now, and I realized everything my parents had told me was because they wanted me to be realistic. But having a dream was never unrealistic in the first place. So I had gained all confidence in myself back, and slowly my wings started to grow, but I didn’t hide them anymore, because as many times as people tried to take scissors to my wings they were as hard as steel, and only left a small mark that healed and never scarred. And they continued to grow and grow. Along the way many other people saw my wings and wanted theirs back as well, I told them my story and it inspired them, and they all started to sprout wings again. I couldn’t believe my parents had taken away my wings when I was younger, because of my wings I had made so many people and myself happier as well. Don’t ever let anyone weaken or cut off your wings.
